Dr Shivarama Karanth 108 birth anniversary was unique celebration in Bangalore at the Basanth residency on last Sunday night.

Taking up 78 years old novel of Jnanapeeth award winner Dr Shivarama Karanth and his favorite is children. It was a great coincidence that Basanthkumar Patil launched the children film too. Novel based is ‘bettada Jeeva’ and children film is ‘Hejjegalu’.

P Seshadri the series of films award winner is at work. He has studied the novel in college days obtained poor marks but he does not want to do so in taking up this film ‘Bettada Jeeva’. He has made a strong study of the inner layers of man posing challenge to nature. Dattanna is playing the role of Gopalaiah. 120 years old house in Puttur the director P Seshadri is looking for shooting.

P Seshadri another series of award winner is himself a producer is directing for producer Basanthkumar Patil. He did not divulge information on ‘Hejjegalu’ and only introduced baby Prakruthi the state award winning little kid for ‘Gubbachchigalu’.

At the launch of two films Dr Patil Puttappa, Dr Girish Kasaravalli, Jayanth Kaikini also addressed the gathering.
